Fiorentina will be looking for return to winning ways after they suffered their first loss of the season at the Giuseppe Meazza against Walter Mazzarri's Inter in midweek.

La Viola were in the lead before going down to goals from Esteban Cambiasso and Jonathan.

Vincenzo Montella ostensibly told the media that 'the only thing that he disliked was the result', but his side have conceded goals when in front at a worryingly habitual rate. His charges have only managed one clean sheet this season and that was against a struggling Atalanta side.

Fiorentina will be without Mario Gomez and the mercurial Juan Cuadrado; both are long-term absentees.

Speaking of Atalanta, Parma faced them in midweek at the Tardini in what was an eventful and riveting encounter, which eventually saw the home side take maximum points with a 4-3 win.

It was Parma's first victory of this campaign despite some big signings in the summer. With a comfortable 4-1 lead going into the interval, Roberto Donadoni's men almost contrived to drop points, such was their defensive incompetency.

Donadoni will want his side to string a few wins together in their push to remain in the top flight but with Amauri, who was sent off in the previous round, the most notable absentee for Parma this week, it won't be easy by any means in spite of Fiorentina's eyes, perhaps, being cast to Thursday's Europa League fixture away at Dnipro.

There are whispers that Stefano Chuka Okaka will come in to replace the Italo-Brazilian Amauri. Assuming he does feature, the former Azzurini striker must capitalize on his chance. After a decent spell on loan with Spezia in Serie B last season, Parma recalled the 24-year-old to act as an understudy to Amauri. Strong and good in the air, he has plenty to prove.

Probable line-ups:

Fiorentina (4-3-2-1): Neto; Tomovic, Rodriguez, Savic, Pasqual; Aquilani, Ambrosini, Borja Valero; Joaquin, Fernandez; Rossi

Parma (3-5-2): Mirante; Cassani, Felipe, Lucarelli; Biabiany, Acquah, Marchionni, Gargano, Gobbi; Cassano, Chuka Okaka

Prediction: Shouldn't be anything more than a comfortable win for Fiorentina if they can sort out their defensive frailties. Their excellent home form should also see them collect all three points.
