The Colombian wing-back has finally ended months of speculation by signing a contract extension on the eve of Napoli's Champions League clash against Arsenal.  The deal will see Juan Camilo Zuniga stay at the club for another five years and according to Sky Sports will earn a reported €3.5m per season.

President De Laurentiis announced the news on the club’s official web site stating that “I have always believed in Camilo and he has always believed in Napoli”.  The Colombian has made 148 appearances for Napoli since joining in 2009, and De Laurentiis declared “In the past few years he has worked with humility and in silence and he deserved recognition”.

The 27 year old had been strongly linked with Juventus during the summer and Barcelona in more recent weeks but upon signing the extension declared that “I am happy at Napoli and I want to end my career in the Azzurro colours”.  The deal protects the club with a €35m buy out clause.
