A.C. Milan and Croatia legend, Zvonimir Boban has launched a sensational attack on Mario Balotelli, stating that Balotelli will always be smaller than the Rossoneri:

"We should stop talking about Mario Balotelli, all he has done in his career is sit on the bench at other clubs. He will always be smaller than A.C Milan, and A.C. Milan will always be bigger than him."

Boban, who plyed his trade for the Rossoneri between 1991 and 2002 winning four Scudetti and one Champions League trophy in the process, told Sky Sports Italia that the likes of Marco Van Basten and George Weah were on a much higher level than Mario Balotelli:

"In my Milan side, he [Balotelli] would have carried tha bags of players such as Marco Van Basten, George Weah and Andriy Shevchenko."

In response to reports that the young Azzurri international has arrived nearly 30 minutes later for the past two training sessions, Boban launched a scathing attack on Balo, claiming that he does not show the Milan shirt the respect it deserves:

"He has arrived late [to training] two days in a row? In my Milan, Maldini, Desailly, Rossi, Costacurta and Baresi would have slapped him. His attitude shows that he does not understand what wearing the Milan shirt means."

Balotelli has endured a terrible start to his 2013/14 campaign, missing the first two penalties of his career (vs. Napoli and vs. Genoa), leaving the forward's future at Milan in doubt.
