The Rossoneri have had much success over the years having won the Champions League 7 times and the Scudetto 17 times just one fewer than their rivals Inter Milan. So far this season AC Milan have struggled under the management of Allegri the former Pescari midfielder having only won 4 matches out of the 17 they have played. They currently lay in 13th place with 19 points whereas their rivals Inter sit comfortably in 5th place with 31 points, 15 points behind league leaders Juventus. So, what’s the solution to AC Milan’s problems? With the January transfer window just around the corner Allegri has managed to save himself a bit of time by already sorting out two signings set to arrive in January.

Keisuke Honda the Japanese central attacking midfielder is set to leave CSKA Moscow and join AC Milan on January 3rd 2014 on a costless contract. Milan have been chasing the Japanese international for quite some time but have had to be patient to snap him up on a costless contract. Honda has signed a three year deal which will keep him at the club until 2017. Honda will wear the No.10 jersey for his new club AC Milan.  Galliani said “He asked (for No.10 jersey) and we met his wish. He could play January 12th against Sassuolo). We’ll deposit his contract on January 3rd then wait for the bureauctratic matters to be sorted”

Another transfer which has been wrapped up before the winter transfer window is the confirmed loan deal of Valencia defender and France international Adil Rami. The French international who was linked to Premier League sides such as Arsenal and Manchester City has not played for Valencia having falling out with the Spanish club following his public criticism of his team-mates and coach Miroslav Djukic.

Rami will join AC Milan in the new year for the final six months of the season after the Italian club agreed to Valencia’s demand to pay his salary in full. Also, Milan will have the option of making the deal permanent with a rumoured fee of €7m already agreed between the two clubs. A four year contract is included in the deal if AC Milan choose to permanently sign the defender. Rami joined Valencia from Lille in 2007 and has made 74 appearances for the Spanish club having scored 5 goals and is also expected to be in the French national team for the World Cup in Brazil.
