Antonio Nocerino has officially moved from AC Milan to West Ham United on loan until the end of the season. The 28-year-old’s transfer out of the San Siro had seemed imminent for the past week or so and the London side have announced on their website, “West Ham United are delighted to announce the arrival of AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino on loan until the end of the season.

Nocerino made the move to Milan back in 2011 from Palermo for a miserly fee of around one million Euros. He managed over 90 appearances for the Rossoneri over the past couple of years. Nocerino was also a member of the 2012 Italy national team at EURO 2012.

Nocerino also managed 13 goals for Milan, with a majority of them coming in Milan’s title triumph back in 2012.

Following the arrival of Michael Essien at Milan a few days ago, it seemed fairly clear that Nocerino was not going to be a key feature in Clarence Seedorf’s plans.

Having played for Juventus, Palermo and Milan in Italy, Nocerino will be bringing a good deal of experience to West Ham. His new club is currently languishing in the relegation zone in England’s top division and his abilities should be welcomed at Upton Park.

West Ham are also looking to bring in Marco Borriello from AS Roma. The former Milan striker recently tweeted farewell to the Roma fans, thanking them for all support.

Reports suggest that Borriello will also be moving on an initial loan with an option to buy.
