After yesterday's 2-0 victory over Livorno extended Juventus' lead at the top of the Serie A table, manager, Antonio Conte, has stated that despite his side's comprehensive lead, the Scudetto is not won yet:
"It's definitely not over yet. The race is a compelling one between two teams who are simultaneously smashing previous records."
"There are still six games left in the season and it's still all to play for. We'll need to be at the top of our game."
Speaking to juventus.com after Monday's clash, vice-captain, Giorgio Chiellini, spoke proudly of Juve's consistency at such an important period of the season:
"We've been impressively consistent, in spite of playing a lot of games since mid-Ferbruary."
"The Livorno game was not easy at all, and neither was Thursday night [Lyon], as we had a lot to lose in both games. We played well in both, there's still a long way to go and we're ticking the matches off."
Looking ahead to Thursday's crucial second leg, Conte has revealed the importance of the game for the club. Juventus have a one goal advantage going into the game on Thursday night, and Conte insists that his side want to get the job done:
"We want to reach the semi final. It would be great to have an Italian at those positions in major competitions, but it won't be easy."
"I hope that the stadium is full and the fans get behind the team; we need them on the home straight of the season."
