Lyon will host Itialian giants Juventus at the Stade de Gerland  in what should be an awesome prospect.

The home side currently sit  fifth in the Ligue 1, they have accumulated 48 points in 31 games, 6 points off Saint-Etienne, who they lost to in their last fixture 2-1. The away side are currently in the ascendency to claim a third Serie A title in the last 3 years. The Old Lady have racked up an impressive 81 points after 31 games and are 8 points in front of second placed Roma. They did however, lose only their second game of the season in their last game 2-0 to Napoli.

In the last round of the Europa League, Lyon won 5-3 on aggregate. In the home game they won 4-1 but in the away game they were dealt a scare as they lost 2-1. Juventus had to beat fellow Italian side Fiorentina. In the home game they drew 1-1 meaning they would have to play well to pull off a good result in Florence and that's what they did. The winner came from Italian legend Andrea Pirlo, who won them the game with one of his trademark costless-kicks.

Lyon will play without seven regulars due to injury, the absentee list consists of:  Milan Biševac - thigh, Mouhamado Dabo - thigh, Gueïda Fofana - groin, Yoann Gourcuff - ankle, Clément Grenier - groin, Miguel Lopes - leg and Samuel Umtiti - thigh

Juventus will compete with 4 players. Andrea Barzagli is out with a calf injury, Angelo Ogbonna is missing with a thigh injury and Federico Peluso is injured due to a thigh injury. Influential Chilean, Arturo misses out due to suspension.
