Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez has enjoyed a renaissance this season after a serious slump last year. The Chilean striker has had a prolific campaign for Los Blaugranas under Gerardo Martino’s tutelage but it seems like he hasn’t done enough to get another shot with the current La Liga champions.

And according to several outlets, Sanchez is reportedly close to return to the Italian Serie A since Juventus are keen to land him.

The Old Lady only have Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente as reliable sources upfront and they need to upgrade their attack looking towards next season. After winning the Serie A for the third straight year, it’s clear that Juventus need to bolster the squad looking at the European scenario and the Chilean international would be a great fit.

His knowledge with Arturo Vidal – Juventus’ biggest star – is certainly a factor and Sanchez was already close to join the team years ago when he finally opted to sign for Barcelona. The former Serie A Player of the Year after the 2010-11 season has already had success in Italy and his experience – at both the domestic and the European level – acquired in recent years could boost the team towards next season.

No offer has been made and the only clear thing is that Barcelona is reportedly open to listen to proposals for the Chilean international. A €30M could be enough to lure Sanchez away from Camp Nou, something that seems plausible considering what the striker could give to the squad.
