Manchester United fan favourite, Patrice Evra is on the verge of moving to Italian giants Juventus according to reports.

The Guardian has reported that Patrice Evra has requested to leave the club, after 8 years’ service, citing personal reasons as to why he wants to leave the club. The reason The Guardian is claiming why Evra wants to move, is that his wife is wanting a move away from Manchester and Evra has agreed now is the perfect time to end his Manchester United career, which saw him lift five Premier Leagues, a Champions League and three League Cups in his 8 years. It is also believed with his wife wanting to move away as it is, the transfer of Luke Shaw helped him decide it is time to move to pastures new, after 379 appearances and 10 goals.

Patrice Evra signed a new deal with Manchester United, just several weeks ago but the new signing was the clubs doing, due to a clause in the 33 year olds contract at the time. The result of this clause meant they could extend his contract by one year, without having to negotiate with the player. This now means that Juventus will have to either pay for the player, or involve him in a move for Vidal which is another reported rumour. However the strongest rumour is that the Italian club, will offer Manchester United £2 million and offer Evra £55,000 per week in a two year deal, which will most likely see him end his career at Juventus.

With the Shaw transfer being official in means that Evra is now the second choice left-back, which would of played a factor in Evra wanting leave. But with Evra now wanting to leave it is likely that Manchester United will sign another left-back with Daley Blind being the most likely.
