Juventus manager, Antonio Conte, has today terminated his contract with La Vecchia Signora by mutual consent.

After three successful seasons at the club, Antonio Conte has terminated his contract due to reported disagreements with the club hierarchy. Speaking the the Juventus Channel, Conte stated:

"By mutual consent, I have terminated my contract with Juventus."

"The feeling that I should leave has grown over a period of time. Winning is the first difficulty, as it is inevitable that at such a hugely prestigious club like Juventus, you are obliged to win at all times. This can be difficult. However, I proved that I could cope with this pressure and proved that I can be a winner."

The now former Juve coach took the time to thank the Juventini, the staff, and the players during his statement, while also reflecting upon his successes during his time in Turin:

"I'd like to thank the Juventus fans sincerely for the faith that they showed me both as a manager and a player. I express an infinite gratitude towards them. The fans can be proud of what we achieved over the past three years, as we created history with three consectutive Scudetti and the record points total."

"I thank the players that I've worked with during my time at the club, who helped us win and helped me, personally, to grow as a coach.

"I would also like to express my thanks to the club and Andrea Agnelli, for giving me the fantastic opportunity to manage Juventus three years ago."

When asked whether he would be interested in taking the vacant Italian coaching role, Conte replied:

"At the moment I am only thinking about the recent decision I have made. I will think about the future tomorrow."

Antonio Conte will undoubtedly be remembered alongside Giovanni Trapattoni and Marcello Lippi as one of the greatest Juventus coaches ever. The 44 year old lead Juventus to three consecutive league titles, as well as one Coppa Italia final, and in his final season at the club, La Vecchia Signora recorded a record 102 points tally in the Serie A, winning all 19 of their home league games.
