Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has once again injured his knee during a training session with Chile.

The Chilean midfielder was forced to stop during a training session in Miami, where Chile will face Mexico and Haiti in friendlies. But before returning to Turin he is set to have a series of tests regarding his knee.

The 27-year-old has already had a surgery last season to try and solve the issue, which resulted in him just about making the World Cup in the summer where he was clearly far from full fitness.

With Pirlo already out for a month due to a hip injury, and Vidal's knee injury, Juventus are short of midfielders and this will be a concern for their recently appointed manager, Massimiliano Allegri

Chile's coach, Jorge Sampaoli told a Chilean newspaper that the move to Manchester United didn't happen because of Louis Van Gaal's concerns about Vidal's knee.

Earlier this month Sampaoli said ''The problem in Vidal's transfer from Juventus to Manchester United for $80 million dollars is the doubt that Van Gaal has with respect to the improvement of Arturo's knee.''

Vidal is unlikely to feature in Chile's upcoming friendlies matches against Mexico and Haiti in Miami, and will be assessed in the coming days.
