Roma captain Francesco Totti had no holds barred after Juventus took 3 controversial points at the weekend to secure a place at the top of Serie A.

Massimiliano Allegri continued his unbeaten run in the domestic competition as he saw 2 contentious penalties given his side's way. The first came after a Pirlo freekick was deemed to of hit Maicon's arm, seeing a crowd of players swarm around the referee. On review, the ball struck the Brazillian's hand outside the box, and even more unfortunately for the visitors, Tevez calmly slotted away the ball to give Juve the lead.

However, Roma were soon level after they too were awarded a penalty (this time it was a little more obvious for the officials) as Lichtsteiner wrestled Totti to the floor. The veteran made no mistake in sending Buffon the wrong way. Roma then took the lead from a well worked goal from Summer signing, Iturbe. The Old Lady were then awarded another penalty as Pogba was fouled by Manolas, again it was deemed to be inside the area, although on looking at replays, it was out. Tevez equalised, scoring his 6th of the season. Juventus went on to win with a late goal coming from from Bonucci.

The giallorossi striker was not afraid in voicing his opinions post match.

"We came here to play and the performance was good, but what happened (with the poor refereeing) conditioned the game.

“For years the same old incidents keep happening. I don’t know if we were beaten by referees, but we certainly were not beaten by Juventus tonight.

"The same old incidents have been happening for years, and continue to do so. I don’t know if we were beaten by referees, but we certainly were not beaten by Juventus tonight. I don't know if we were beaten by the referee, but we were certainly not beaten by Juventus,"
argued the 38 year old.

"Yes, we are angry, but we are also aware that we are a great team and we must lift our heads straight away."

Totti's outrage continued as he stated: "I've always said it: - they should play in their own league. They always win by hook or by crook. We train to win but then these things happen."

Allegri's Juventus side remain unbeaten after 6 rounds of football, taking them 3 points clear of Garcia's Roma who's only loss came at the weekend.
