The Serie A is back after a two-week absence, and there are many interesting fixtures, and three points are up for grabs for all 20 teams. If Juventus vs Roma wasn't enough of a thriller last matchday, then here are some other fixtures to keep fans on the edge of their seats:

Saturday 18th October

Roma v Chievo
Sassuolo v Juventus

Sunday 19th October

Fiorentina v Lazio
Atalanta v Parma
Cagliari v Sampdoria
Palermo v Cesena
Torino v Udinese
Verona v AC Milan
Inter Milan v Napoli

Monday 20th October

Genoa v Empoli

Roma v Chievo

Second-placed Roma take on a Chievo side who sit just above the relegation zone, by a single point. The hosts already have a number of injuries concerning them, so will be disappointed that Seydou Keita has also come back with an injury after international duty with Mali. He joins Daniele De Rossi, Davide Astori and Kevin Strootman on the sidelines. Chievo have three players as a doubt, but Mariano Izco, who joined from Catania in the summer, is ruled out.

Sassuolo v Juventus

Sassuolo welcome league leaders Juventus to Città del Tricolore, as they look for their first win of the season. The home side sit bottom of Serie A after six games, with just three points from a possible 18, but Juventus are flying under Massimiliano Allegri in the league, picking up six straight victories. Andrea Barzagli and Martin Cacares are Juve's only absentees for the game, with Allegri's side hoping to mask the controversy surrounding their narrow victory against Roma two weeks ago.

Fiorentina v Lazio

SS Lazio and Fiorentina go head-to-head in Sunday's early kick-off next to each other in the league table, both with nine points from a possible 18. Lazio are yet to draw a match, and are the league's joint-second top goalscorers, with Filip Djordjevic scoring four of their 11 goals. The visitors will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce, beating Sassuolo and Palermo before the international break. They will have to do it without 11 players, who all sit out with injury. Joaquin, Micah Richards and Mario Gomez are all doubts for Fiorentina.

Atalanta - Parma

Parma will be hoping to add to their eleven league goals and make them count for something as they travel to struggling Atalanta. Both sides only have one win to their name this season, and sit in 15th and 18th respectively. Parma's defence has been their downfall this season, with 18 goals conceded so far, averaging three goals conceded a game. Antonio Cassano will want to increase his goal tally for the season and bringing it past four.

Cagliari v Sampdoria

Two sides in contrasting form play one another at the Stadio Comunale Sant'Eliain on Sunday afternoon. Sampdoria are one of the surprise packages in Serie A so far this season, as they are one of just two teams with an unbeaten start, the other being Juventus. They also have the least goals conceded, with two goals getting past the Samp defence this season. Cagliari only have one win to their name so far this season, but a comprehensive one at that. Four goals were scored against Inter at the San Siro a month ago, after three goals in their previous four games.

Palermo v Cesena

One of Sunday's mid-afternoon kick-offs could see the end of a short-lived Serie A return for Giuseppe Iachini. The Palermo head coach has watched his side fail to win a game thus far, joining Sassuolo at the bottom of the table. The president is insistent that Iachini won't be fired if they lose again, but football management is a tough environment as of late. Cesena are without a win since the opening day, when they edged a 1-0 victory against Parma.

Torino v Udinese

Eight points and ten places seperate these two sides, but form and league position mean nothing for some games. Torino won both games last season without conceding a goal, and Giampiero Ventura, who managed Udinese for a year, will be hoping for repeat performances to double their wins for the season. For Udinese, they are unbeaten in four, and with no European football to distract their league form this season, Zebrette will be pushing for a top 7 spot yet again.

Verona v AC Milan

Stephane El Shaarawy could be handed another start by Pippo Inzaghi, as the Italian looks for a first goal in 18 months. Verona are another surprise package in the league so far, sitting behind Milan by virtue of goal difference. Both sides lost to one of the top two sides, and will be looking to inflict a second defeat of the season on one another.

Inter Milan v Napoli

In the pick of the matchday 7 games, Walter Mazzarri's year-long reign at Inter could be brought to a humiliating end by his former club, as Napoli travel to the San Siro. Inter have lost their last two games (against Cagliari and Fiorentina) and have conceded seven in their last two league games. For Napoli, despite not losing their last three matches, they remain in seventh place, after a bitterly disappointing start for Benitez' men. They will be hoping to take advantage of a vulnerable Inter side in Sunday's late kick-off.

Genoa v Empoli

Monday's game sees two sides in erratic form face off. Genoa and Empoli are in 11th and 12th respectively, with the away side securing three draws and a win in their last four games. Genoa, on the other hand, have won, drawn and lost one of their last three games. Neither side are boasting goals this season, with 14 goals combined in 12 games, so not much is expected of the game. A good chance for both to capitalise on a tight Serie A table.
