Coach Vincenzo Italiano wants to beat AC Milan for Joe Barone.
We have to restart and honor Joe Barone to the fullest, putting on the field his values: passion, love, attachment for this city and for these colors. We must do it for him, for his family and for the President. We have lost a father, now we have to go strong in every match as he would have wanted.
Milan are coming from a great moment and are in good shape, but we are playing at home and we want to resume with a positive result, even if the match is difficult. Winning the three points is always important, as is performing well and facing the game convinced of our potential. It would be nice to get three points to give us a boost in the standings. Mourning at Fiorentina
Joe Barone, general manager of Fiorentina, died on Tuesday 19 after a sudden heart attack.
The manager had been feeling unwell since the Matchday 29 game against Atalanta and was rushed to a hospital in Milan, where he spent his last days. The Serie A game was postponed.
