Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba, is out for the next two months. The young French international was substituted in the 27th minute of his team's 3-0 win over Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League Round of 16 clash. The 22-year-old Pogba is expected to be sidelined for up to 50 days after suffering a torn thigh muscle.

Pogba’s injury is set to be a big disappointment for a Juventus side who hope to progress beyond the round of eight and leave their mark on the Europe’s biggest footballing competition. With Serie A seemingly locked up - with the Turin club possessing a comfortable 14 point lead over AS Roma - UEFA Champions League success is essential.

Pogba's injury may potentially affect his transfer value, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, PSG and Real Madrid all thought to be in contention for the midfielder's services this coming summer - his agent has been quoted in several newspapers over the past few months speculating about his client's future.

An official club statement posted on the Juventus’ club website states: ''Paul Pogba this afternoon underwent an MRI scan after coming off midway through the first half of last night’s Champions League match with Borussia Dortmund in Germany. The scan revealed a grade two myotendinous junction tear of his biceps femoris. He is expected to return to competitive action within the next 50 days.''
