Pablo Armero has cancelled his loan with AC Milan and has opted for a loan move to Brazil with Flamengo until the end of the 2015/16 Brazilian season.

Armero, 28, joined current side Udinese last summer from fellow Serie A outfit Napoli whom he made 29 appearances for before being shipped out on-loan to Premier league side West Ham for the second half of the 2013/14 season.

"Left-back Pablo Armero signed with Flamengo on Thursday," a statement on Flamengo's official website announced. "He played in the 2014 World Cup, and was one of the Colombian team's best players. Armero will be presented on Friday at 5pm."

The versatile player who can play at full back or on the wing has over half a century of international appearances for his country amassed just six starts for a Milan side chasing Europe and was rightfully unhappy with his lack of play time hence the loan termination.

This will be Armero's second spell in Brazil having previously ran out for Palmeiras thirty-six times over the course of the 2009/10 season.
