Juventus take an incredible 2-1 win to the Bernabeu, as the Serie A champions ran the show against a poor Real Madrid side.

Former Los Blancos striker and youth product, Alvaro Morata, gave Juventus the lead in the 9th minute, before Cristiano Ronaldo levelled the scoring 19 minutes later. However, Carlos Tevez secured the game for Juventus with a 58th minute penalty.

Juventus started the game flying as the Old Lady came close within the opening minute when a terrible Iker Casillas throw went straight to the feet of Claudio Marchisio, and the Italian midfielder played in a good through ball to Arturo Vidal, but the midfielder lost his footing as he was preparing to take the shot, and the early danger was cleared by Daniel Carvajal.

Alvaro Morata almost scored past his former side in the 7th minute when the striker burst through on goal and took his shot early, and the looping shot almost caught Casillas out, but the Madrid captain managed to punch the dipping shot. However the Spaniard got his goal two minutes later, when Carlos Tevez’s shot was parried away by Casillas, but Morata was there to pounce on the lose ball, and the former Real Madrid youngster tapped the ball in from close range to make it 1-0 to Juventus.

Real Madrid replied well and looked to have woken up in the 11th minute when Gigi Buffon brilliantly saved Toni Kroos’ shot from way out, to keep Los Blancos at bay. Cristiano Ronaldo had his first effort on goal when Marcelo played a great through ball down the left wing towards the path of Ronaldo, but his shot dragged past the far post and out for a goal kick.

But the Ballon d’Or winner got the equaliser moments later for the visitors when James Rodriguez lofted in a terrific ball inside the penalty box from a tight situation to find Ronaldo, and the winger poked in a close range header to make it 1-1 in the 27th minute, and to bring his Champions League goal tally up to 76. Real Madrid should had taken the lead in the 40th minute when Isco played a short cross into the penalty box towards to head of James Rodriguez, but the Colombian’s header from a few yards out smashed off the crossbar, and Marcelo’s rebound volley nestled on top of the roof of the net.

Juventus were awarded a penalty in the 55th minute when Juventus broke, with Tevez and Morata leading a strong counter attack, which led to Carvajal bringing down the Argentina striker in the box, and the referee pointed to the spot. After a confrontation with the Juventus players, Tevez stepped up to the spot, and coolly fired the ball past Casillas, to give Juventus the lead once again. Real Madrid almost replied in perfect fashion when substitute Javier Hernandez flicked on a cross, which almost reached Ronaldo, but the winger didn’t make the right contact and the ball trickled out for a goal kick.

Juventus substitute Fernando Llorente could have scored his 8th goal against Real Madrid, but when the tall striker rounded Casillas, the Spaniard opted to play the ball across the box to Roberto Pereyra, but Carjaval intercepted the cross well. Llorente came close again in the dying moments of the game when a beautiful Andrea Pirlo free kick floated onto the head of the former Athletic Bilbao striker, but his header flew straight at Casillas, who booted the danger clear.

The incredible win means that Juventus are on the verge of their first Champions League final since 2003, where they could meet either Barcelona or Bayern Munich.
