Real Madrid holding midfielder Sami Khedira is on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu after passing his medical at Juventus, according to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio.

The World Cup-winning midfielder had been a target for Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and FC Schalke. Previous reports had claimed Khedira had signed a free contract with Schalke, where he would be returning home to Germany.

This could hint at 22 year-old star midfielder Paul Pogba being on his way out of Turin, as Pogba has been linked with a big money move to Real Madrid or Manchester United.

Los Blancos posted a statement on their website reading, "Following the reports published in the Italian newspaper La Stampa concerning the player Paul Pogba, the club wishes to state the following: Real Madrid have had no contact either with Juventus or the player's agent and, as a consequence, the reports published in this newspaper are completely false." Whether this is true or not, if Pogba does leave the Juve, Khedira would make a nice replacement.

This move is beneficial to Khedira due to Real Madrid having a surplus of midfielders including Isco, Luka Modric, James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos, Lucas Silva, and Asier Illaramendi. If he stays fit, the German midfielder could definitely hold a spot in the first team at Juventus next season.

Juventus have a bigger task ahead of them now, as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League Final versus FC Barcelona.
