Carlo Ancelotti could be in line for a return to AC Milan according to the club's general manager, Adriano Galliani.

Ancelotti left Milan in 2009 having won two Champions League's and one Serie A title with the Italian giants. In his six years away from the Rossoneri he has won the English double (Premier League and FA Cup) with Chelsea, Ligue 1 with Paris St Germain and the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and the Copa del Rey with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti's Real Madrid tenure only came to an end on Monday and Galliani wasted no time in going after his man by meeting him in a Madrid hotel on Tuesday. When speaking to reporters Galliani confirmed his interest in bringing Ancelotti back to Milan.

"Carlo knows that if he doesn't say yes to me now I'm going to go with him to Vancouver. His wife's fine with that, but I hope it doesn't get that far. Carlo is part of our history. I met him for the first time at Roma in 1987, 28 years ago, and I'm not going to let go of him. I've come to Madrid to take Carlo back to Milan with me and I'm going to see him again tomorrow," said Galliani.

Ancelotti had previously stated that he would take time away from the game to allow surgery on a back problem that has been troubling him but the lure of a return to Milan could prove to be too strong to turn down and it is believed he has until next Wednesday to inform Galliani of his decision.
