28-year-old Germany midfielder Sami Khedira has agreed a four-year contract with Italian double winners and recent Champions League finalists, Juventus.

The world champion Khedira failed to agree on terms for a new contract for Real Madrid last summer which saw him get little playing time this season under Carlo Ancelotti as he played only 17 matches in all competitions.

In his five years in Madrid, he has won the Copa Del Rey in 2011, La Liga and Supercopa de España in 2012 and the UEFA Champions League, Copa Del Rey, UEFA Super Cup & FIFA Club World Cup in 2014 since joining the club from VfB Stuttgart after the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Since winning the World Cup last summer, he has been linked to various clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League and Schalke in the Bundesliga.

As said on Juventus' official website,

"Khedira, who is normally deployed in front of the defence as a ball-winning midfielder, is able to cover a lot of ground while also possessing excellent passing and shooting ability, and great vision of the game.

"Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri is set to add a player of class, quality and international experience to his ranks, ready to enrich one of the strongest midfields in world football."

He will become a part of the talented midfield that the Old Lady have with the likes of Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Pirlo.
