Atlético Madrid are reportedly looking to offload Mario Suarez since he does not appear to be in Diego Simeone's plans for the 2015-16 season and Inter Milan have already taken note about this rumour. The Serie A side has reportedly offered €12million euros to land the experienced Spaniard at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Squad depth already strong for Atléti

The midfielder dynamo has been an absolute force in the centre of the pitch for Los Colchoneros but even though he has had some very good displays, it seems like Simeone is looking to upgrade the midfield area of his squad - and the Spain international might not have space in the team's squad for the next season considering the fact that Atlético is quite stacked with plenty of options in midfield.

According to several reports, Inter are decided to land the coveted midfielder and they have already made a €12million offer to sign the 28-year-old. The interest is high and Gazzetta Dello Sport went as far as saying that Inter manager Roberto Mancini contacted the player to express him the desire of having him with the squad for the next season.

Would be a serious signal of intent from Inter

According to several people with knowledge of the situation, the negotiations are on the right track and it seems a deal might be reached in the coming days so it seems like Mario Suarez will display his talents at the Serie A. If he ends up joining the team, he'd become the second player to sign from Atlético Madrid to Inter after Joao Miranda completed the same move a few days ago.

Mario Suarez played 33 games across all competitions for Atléti last season and he was a regular fixture in the team's line-up both in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. He scored only one goal but his impact was felt more on the defensive side of the pitch where he covered plenty of miles, and his positioning sitting in-front of a solid back-four was a key element of success for Simeone's men.
