Jose Mauri was today announced to the world as an AC Milan signing, as the club confirmed that he's signed a four-year deal following his transfer from Parma.

Having been relegated to Serie D with financial issues, Parma were understandably keen to cash in on their assets, however Mauri has left on a free to join the Rossoneri, to stay in Serie A.

A young signing

At just 18 years of age, Mauri impressed in his 35 appearances last season, scoring two goals. The most important of the pair was in Parma's dramatic 1-0 home win over Juventus; a famous victory in an otherwise dismal season.

It remains to be seen how much of a part Jose Mauri will play next season, with him being recruited as a talent but perhaps also as someone who is almost ready for the top level already, as proven by his performances last season.

"A dream come true"

Speaking to goal.com, the Argentine described the move as "a dream come true".

He also revealed that "Milan are a side I have followed a lot" and that his idol is Rossoneri icon Gennaro Gattuso.

"I need to improve, like Milan" he added, "Let's hope we can achieve this together."

Departures imminent?

With the fourth signing in a week confirmed for Il Diavolo, it is perhaps expected that players will leave with the squad now full.

The Corriere dello Sport revealed today that Cristian Zaccardo, Michelangelo Albertazzi, Keisuike Honda, Alessio Cerci and Jeremy Menez are favourites to make way and free up transfer money.

€12million is the reported asking price for Menez, the top scorer for Milan during the 2014-15 season with 16 goals, a man who may favour a move back home to France.

Squad spots and wage budget is required if Milan are to continue their market assault and secure players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Axel Witsel and Aymeric Laporte.
