Juventus have confirmed the signing of Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza for a fee of around €18 million, on a contract that runs until 2020.

"Juventus announces that it has reached an agreement with Sassuolo for the outright acquisition of the sporting rights of the footballer Simone Zaza for €18 million, which is to be paid over three years and also confirms that the same player has signed a five-year contract with the club." was said in a statement released on the Italian champions' official website on Tuesday.

Striker depth

The striker becomes the sixth player to join Juve this summer alongside Paulo Dybala of Palermo, Sami Khedira of Real Madrid, Mario Mandžukić of Atlético Madrid, Daniele Rugani of Empoli and Neto of Fiorentina as the Italian will be fighting alongside Dybala and Mandžukić as well as Alvaro Morata as the starting strikers for Massimiliano Allegri's double winning side.

The Italian champions entered into a co-ownership agreement for the striker back in 2013 having left Sampdoria but sold their share in the 24-year-old to the Neroverdi last summer in which in two seasons with the club.

He played 69 matches and scored 21 goals as him and Domenico Berardi were a wonderful strike force in Sassuolo.

What type of player is he

For what Zaza brings to the Old Lady is something great. He is a quick, strong, and well-rounded left-footed forward, with good technique, and an eye for goal.

A versatile and hard-working player, he is capable of playing both as a centre-forward, and off another player, as a second striker as well as someone with great physical attributes and his positional sense, he also excels in the aerial game as well.

Zaza made his debut for the Italian national team last year in a friendly against the Netherlands under former Juventus boss Antonio Conte and scored his first goal against Norway in a Euro 2016 which ended in a 2-0 victory for Italy in September.
