According to Football Italia, Juventus has started to gain interest in the midfielder this coming week and could offer a deal to Spurs coming soon.

The deal could be an 18M deal with Fernando Llorente going to White Hart Lane in exchange for Christian Eriksen

More midfield transfer options for Juve?

Juventus are also chasing the likes of Hernanes from Inter Milan. Considering that Hernanes and Eriksen play the same way, Juventus will have to make a choice about who to chase as the transfer deadline looms.

The Italian club is still chasing Julian Draxler from Schalke; he and Eriksen would make a good pairing in the midfield along side Paul Pogba.

Considering the lack of depth in their midfield, Juventus would benefit from Eriksen's creativity and his scoring ability. He can also take free kicks and be a danger man on set pieces, swinging the ball in to the likes of Chielleni and others.

Juventus will be looking for an attacking midfielder and Eriksen will be their guy. He is not a box to box type player like Arturo Vidal was or a player that will sit in front of the back like Andre Pirlo. Eriksen will likely stay up in attack, so do not expect him to be a key defensive player for Juventus if the move is made.

Not a good move for Spurs?

It would be a tough blow to Spurs as they would lose one of their best midfielders. After getting rid of the likes of Roberto Soldado and Paulinho, Spurs are trying to do some good business in the transfer market. Selling Eriksen would not be a good move for Tottenham it would be hard to see who to replace him. Erik Lamela could be that player but playing in a midfield role could be a tough transition for the winger.

As Juventus look to rebolster their midfield, Christian Eriksen could be on his way to Italy but it would be a big blow to Spurs if he went.
