Sissoko not the first option for Milan?

Although they have not made a bid yet, AC Milan are planning a bid for Moussa Sissoko. The estimated fee is expected to be around £15million euros and is an affordable acquisition for a Milan side eager to invest this summer, with Ligue 1 giants Paris-Saint Germain are also reportedly interested in the French midfielder's services too.

However though, it is thought that he's not the first midfielder on Milan's sights.

Milan are one of three sides interested in midfielder Roberto Soriano - and it's hard to see them signing him with the likes of Juventus chasing the player too. The Newcastle man recently picked up a hamstring injury that'll see him out of action for two to three weeks, which could mean he's played his last match for the Geordies. Milan are asking for a lower fee to pay for the Frenchman, although it seems unlikely that Steve McClaren's side will budge considering how important he is.

What can he bring to Milan if he is signed?

Sissoko will complete a great summer of signings for Milan. They've already confirmed deals to sign goal-scoring duo Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano, who will fit in nicely in their ranks with the likes of Jeremy Menez and Keisuke Honda in an attacking sense going forward. His work-rate is impressive in itself, he can both attack high up the pitch as well as providing some defensive stability when required to do so.

This is a team that are striving to compete in the Serie A, with the hope of being able to qualify for European competition next term. There is no reason as to why they cannot achieve this, as long as they stay consistent throughout the league campaign - which is easier said than done admittedly.
