AC Milan CEO, Adriano Galliani, has reasserted his complete faith in coach Sinisa Mihajlovic after the side's 4-0 humbling at home to Napoli this past weekend.

The Rossoneri languish in mid-table despite lavishing over €80million on new recruits over the summer. Galliani, however, remains optimistic about the future and believes the ex-Sampdoria coach can lead the club back to the promise land of European football.

Complete faith

Speaking to milannews.it, the director said: "We absolutely have faith in Sinisa. Is it a negative moment? I don’t want to comment, because my long history in football teaches me that those who win talk, while those who lose just have to stay quiet."

Galliani noted that he and Mihajlovic will meet soon to discuss the side's progress.

Milan chasing Rannochia

Milan are also chasing the signature of Andrea Rannochia from arch-rivals Internazionale, according to Tuttosport.

A loan deal in January seems plausible given the defender's lack of first-team opportunities and his demotion from club captain to third in the pecking order.

Mauro Icardi has assumed the captaincy role while Joao Miranda and Jeison Murillo, both recruited in the summer, have dislodged the Italian defender at the heart of the defence. At 27, Rannochia wields a wealth of experience, though it is small wonder that he has been supplanted by the new arrivals given the defender's propensity for a mistake.

Inter have began the season strongly and sit second in the Serie A, though a recent 4-1 humbling by Fiorentina at the San Siro - and Sunday's stalemate with Sampdoria - has dented the morale inside the Nerazzurri dressing room.

Capello believes Mihajlovic is the right man for the job

Former England coach Fabio Capello has spoke out in support of Mihajlovic, stating that Milan should "hold him tight."

"Unfortunately I've been through this situation too," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "They have to give him time."
