Inter Milan are reportedly going to make a move for Boca Juniors star Jonathan Calleri come the winter transfer window as per Sky Sport Italia.

However, there's a catch in any potential deal. The Nerrazzuri have already went over their non-EU player quota for the season therefore would be unable to secure a permanent deal until the summer. Calcio Mercato report that the 22-year-old forward will obtain an Italian passport in the coming days.

Sky Sport Italia further suggest that he'll join another Serie A side such as Chievo, Frosinone or Atalanta in a "loan-like" move before linking up with Inter in the summer.

President certain he'll leave

The outgoing Boca president, Daniel Angelici has said that Calleri "will 99 per cent be sold to an English investment fund and then go to play in Italy."

The yet uncapped Argentine has 10 goals in 21 league games and is also on the radar of Chelsea as per various global sources. Palermo had targetted him over the course of the summer in the wake of Paulo Dybala's exit but no move ever came of the interest.

Calleri has little over a year remaining on his deal at La Bombonera but this makes little difference on his asking price with Boca looking for nothing less than his €12 million buyout.

Inter to scout Ben Arfa

Gazetta dello sport' reports from recent days suggest that Inter will have scouts present at OGC Nice's fixture against Paris Saint-Germain to watch Hatem Ben Arfa.

The Frenchman left English football on a sour note after a few turbulent years where he had multiple issues but appears to have got past them with this seasons form which has dazzled many. With seven goals in 15 games, the 28-year-old has been one of the stars in Ligue 1 and has deservedly been recalled to the national setup.

With his contract up in the summer a January move is very plausible for an Inter who despite a lack of goals look back to their best as they challenge for their 19th Scudetti.
