After a rough start to the season, Juventus have rebounded well and find themselves fourth in the Serie A table. They will look to keep the momentum up on Sunday against a Carpi team that is currently lying in the relegation zone.

Form

All of a sudden Juventus are right back in the Serie A title race. After being in the bottom half of the table for the opening few months, the Old Lady has found their form and they find themselves just off the Champions League places.

They are only four points off the leaders Inter Milan and they recently smashed Torino 4-0 in the Coppa Italia. With games against Carpi and Verona coming up, it looks like Juventus will be riding the momentum all the way into the new year.

They'll be hoping that it will carry on all the way into their Champions League tie against Bayern Munich, with last year's finalists firm underdogs for February's tie, after the draw was conducted on Monday.

It has been a tough season for the newly promoted Carpi. They find themselves in second to last in the Serie A table and are six points below safety.

They are only three points ahead of last place Verona too, so Carpi have to get results if they want any chance of staying up in Italy. They most recently lost their latest Serie A fixture in a 3-0 loss to Empoli which snapped a three game unbeaten streak. However, they bounced back well and earned a huge win in the Coppa Italia with a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina, who are at the top of Serie A currently.  That was the sort of performance they'll need to repeat in order to take all three points on Sunday.

News

It has been announced that Juventus will be playing in the International Champions Cup, a pre-season tournament next summer in Austrailia.

With a significant lack in playing time, Juve striker Simone Zaza said he may leave the club in the winter. With the likes of Mario Mandzukic, Alvaro Morata, and Pablo Dybala in front of him it is likely that he could be allowed to move from Juventus in January.

What they're saying

When asked about his transfer policy this winter after Juve's win over Torino, Massimiliano Allegri told reporters (via ESPNFC), "There's no point just signing someone for the sake of it, he has to fit into the project and be at the same level as these players."

"Certainly I took some risks, but I was so desperate to play," said Zaza to La Gazzetta dello Sport after the Torino game. With the likes of West Ham reportedly interested in his services, Zaza could be on the move.
