With Fredy Guarin close to a move to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning, Inter Milan have been quick to find a replacement for the Columbian international.

The replacement is Sampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano who is reportedly set to move to the Nerazzurri for a fee of €15 million.

The Breakdown

The money Inter is going to be receiving will be put towards the Soriano signing if the deal is completed.

Jiangsu Suning are reportedly willing to give up €18 million for the 29-year-old Guarin. In 16 matches with Inter this season he has just one goal and one assist.

As for Soriano, Inter is prepared to pay €15 million. Which is split up as €12 million plus another €3 million in bonuses for the 24-year-old midfielder. Soriano's teammate Eder is also a long standing transfer target for the nerazzurri.

Backed by Mancini

Inter Manager Roberto Mancini backs the move for Soriano. Mancini has reportedly asked for the Italian international specifically.

Mancini is looking for a player who will add creativity into the Inter midfield, which could give the team a push down the stretch as they compete for the Scudetto.

Inter currently sit in third place, four points behind first place Napoli and two points behind second place Juventus.

Soriano this season

The 24-year-olds statisitcs currently show he is having a better year than Guarin and would be quite the signing for Inter, especially since they are serious contenders for the Scudetto this season.

In 20 Serie A matches this season Soriano has netted six goals along with adding four assists.

Soriano would be a great addition to this team because of his experience with the national side as well. At such a young age, he has already been surrounded with his countries best players and has been given a chance at the highest level, something Inter could definitely use at this point.
