Inter Milan's Rodrigo Palacio has been unveiled as Jiangsu Suning's latest target in TuttoMercatoWeb reports.

The ageing striker who has been on nerazzurri's books for four years now has recently penned a one-year contract extension and despite playing regularly this term, he has failed to make much of an impact with just a solitary goal to his name.

Jiangsu were unable to complete a deal for former teammate Fredy Guarin earlier in the mercato as the Colombian opted for a move to Shanghai Shenua instead.

Since the Guarin snub, Jiangsu had also been linked with current Paris St. Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi, a known Inter target.

Second Serie A striker they've chased

At the start of the window, the Chinese Super League outfit came out of nowhere witha massive €14 million bid for Luiz Adriano of AC Milan, whom they'd only just signed six months ago.

Adriano looked all set to move to the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre with a work permit all sorted but an issue arose over, what he says was a "guarantee of salary" not asking for more money upon arrival which many media outlets reported.

It is believed that Luiz Adriano's move breaking down played a part in Guarin's move falling through after the latter contacted the former asking for more information regarding guarantee of salary.

Luiz Adriano also told media that Jiangsu "did not want to" put the "right figures" on the contract which lead to a breakdown in relations.

Ramires joins Jiangsu

In yet another seemingly out of the blue move for the relatively unknown side who finished 9th last year, they signed Ramires from Chelsea for a fee reported as €25 million.

The 28-year-old midfielder found game time limited in the Premier League this season and despite only agreeing on a new 4-year-deal in October, seemed keen to depart the London club after 251 appearances.
