Diego Perotti has recently come out in the media speaking of the recent speculation and public drama regarding the future of AS Roma captain Francesco Totti. Speaking to Voce Giallorosso, Perotti said, “I hope Totti renews” also emphasising, “he’s the emblem of the club”. The Roma-Totti saga has created scrutiny regarding if the long-serving captain is going to be offered a contract extension in which in instances pulled away from the recent good form of Roma.

Diego Perotti only 27-years-old arrived from Genoa during the January transfer window. The Argentine forward for the Giallorossi has proven his worth with fantastic performances across all competitions. Perotti has three goals in nine performances for Roma with seventeen chances created. Under Luciano Spalletti, the man who brought him in to overturn the bad form under former manager Rudi Garcia spoke about his coach, “One word to describe Spalletti? Perotti continued his annoyance regarding the transfer market and his opinion if there will be a decision taken for the future of Francesco Totti, speaking with Voce Giallorosso, “I’ll tell you the truth-when there’s a transfer market I turn off my phone and wait for something concrete because otherwise you’ll go mad”
