Links between Inter and Gabriel Jesus continue to intensify by the day but given the player's statements, it looks like the nerazzurri will have to wait for the 19-year-old starlet.
Off the back of a resounding 3-1 win over Sport Recife, in which he scored his 9th goal of the Brazilian Serie A season, the Palmeiras forward spoke to the press. When questioned about a move to Europe he replied, "Everything is already clear. My wish is to remain at Palmeiras."
The striker, who is reportedly on the radar of Juventus and Barcelona too also said he has "a lot of faith" in himself and "in the team and Coach Cuca." He continued, "We're an excellent group and as I've always said, what I want to do is to stay here without thinking too much about Europe."
Multiple fees have been thrown around with some reports suggesting it will take up to €40 million to persuade Palmeiras to sell their latest next big thing who signed a new three year deal back in March to keep him tied down at the Brazilian giants until his 22nd birthday.
"That's what I always wanted. My focus is entirely on Palmeiras. We're fighting to win the championship and I'm very happy here" he finished.
Fellow Inter target Caldirola unaware of interest
Luca Caldirola has also, in recent days, been suggested as a target for the newly Chinese owned Inter whom he spent his early career with before a move to Werder Bremen in 2013.
Speaking to TMW Radio, the 25-year-old admitted, "I honestly don't know anything about it."
"I'm happy in Germany, I managed to adapt myself really wonderfully with my family."
"If there are any offers we'll consider them with the club" the central defender added.
