Banega honoured to join

Upon the announcement, the midfielders first words as an Inter player were revealed.

The 28-year-old admitted "it is an honour to get the chance to play" for Inter and that the club he was joining was a "historic club who have to always be in the most important competitions. "

He also sent a message to the fans, which'll no doubt go down a treat with the ambition shown, saying, "The time has come to play on the Inter pitch, help the team and conquer many trophies together."

Inter wrap up third deal this summer

Banega, who joins Inter on a free from Europa League champions Sevilla is the third signing for the club this summer joining Caner Erkin and as yet unannounced Cristian Ansaldi, who has been pictured in Inter's training photos with the team returning to the training pitches on Monday.

Erkin joined from Fenerbahce in Turkey in June as a free agent after it was confirmed his Turkey, whom he was representing, had been knocked out of Euro 2016 in the group stages.

Ansaldi joined from Genoa who, having had the Argentine on loan last term turned the deal permanent with the view of selling at a profit. Reports suggest Inter paid around 6.8 million to secure the full back's services but as of yet there has been nothing from the club.
