Joan Laporta gave strength to the rumours regarding his possible return to the presidency of FC Barcelona, giving a press conference where he criticized several of the recent actions taken by the administration captained by Sandro Rosell. Laporta confirmed that he feels prepared to return as president of the Catalan club.

Laporta affirmed that, as of today, "I am more and more excited and I feel prepared to be the president of FC Barcelona". This, along with some harsh criticism of Rosell, became the central theme of the press conference.

Laporta discussed various recent issues, such as Guardiola's exit and the decision to not renew the contract of Eric Abidal: "Guardiola left because the club did not do enough for him to stay. There is an obsession with destroying all of his legacy. Part of his exhaustion came from the Junta." Regarding Abidal, Laporta displayed an opinian felt by many of the blaugrana faithful in the last few weeks: "It's unacceptable. (Abidal's contract) should have been renewed and to not do it damages the image of the club".

Without reservation, he talked about the latest sponsors of the club: "The situation with Qatar is another lie. I personally prefer to wear Unicef on the shirt. Now it goes from Qatar Foundation to Qatar Airways." Radical supporters were another subject of the debate: "The club has made an accord with the violent fans and has knowingly created a lie."

Finally, the signing of Neymar seemed to his taste: "What I liked about Neymar is the humility with which he has arrived. It is certain that some culés think that his arrival will strain the dressing room, like Cruyff has said, but we hope that is not the case".
