According to AS.com, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid have come to an agreement that will see Gareth Bale ply his trade at the Bernabeu this season.

The fee is reportedly 91 million euros, with 84 million euros to be paid up front and an additional 7 million euros in add-ons.

This season's longest transfer saga is expected to come to a close with Bale reportedly due to arrive in Madrid on Sunday and undergo a medical on Monday.

The deal, which is expected to run for 6 seasons, will be announced on Friday at 23:00 CET.

A fee of 91 million euros, while massive, does not break the world record for the highest transfer fee in football. That record is still held by Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 for 93.9 million euros.
