Brazilian born forward Diego Costa has called reports that his move to Chelsea has already been agreed as "stupid."

The 25-year-old has had the season of his life spearheading Atletico madrid's attack which could see them and him record a famous La Liga/Champions league double this season. Atleti have a huge week ahead of them as they head to the Nou Camp in the aim of avoiding defeat to Barcelona to secure the Spanish title before taking on local rivals Real Madrid a week later at the Estadio Da Luz with the Champions League up for grabs.

Costa, who was named in Spain's preliminary squad for the World Cup in his home country Brazil, will surely see this as an uneccesary distraction during the most important stage of his young career. As undoubtely will his club, although Rojiblancos have not commented on the English media's reports.

Sources in England say that Chelsea have agreed a £32 million deal with Atletico for Costa's services, however the centre forward who is with the Madrid team for a second time in his career repsonded to these reports that 'Marca' made him aware of by saying: "people say a lot of stupid things."

The former Brazilian international and his club could do with this story dissapearing for a couple of weeks as both enter the biggest 10 days or so in their combined footballing histories.
