Atlético Madrid have won the race to sign Benfica goalkeeper Jan Oblak after the 21-year old underwent a medical on Monday.

According to local reports, Oblak will join La Liga champions Atlético Madrid in a €20 million move after Thibaut Courtosi returned to Stamford Bridge under the orders or José Mourinho.

Oblak will be the second goalkeeper to sign for Atlético after Diego Simeone had already landed Getafe's Miguel Ángel Moya.

The Slovenian international signed for Portuguese club Benfica in 2010, and was then subsequently loaned out to a number of clubs, before cementing his place in the starting XI and impressing Atlético scouts.
