According to Spanish newspaper AS, James Rodríguez has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old AS Monaco forward is currently on holiday and hopes a deal will be agreed that will allow him to join the Uefa Champions League winners on August 1st. The Ligue 1 runners up are demanding £63m for the Colombian international who picked up the Golden Boot award at this summer's World Cup with six goals.

Negotiations have not run smoothly with the French side reluctant to sell the man they paid £38.5m for last summer, but Rodríguez is hopeful that the club will allow him to complete his 'dream' move.

Real Madrid could offload Angel di Maria to Paris Saint Germain this week and use the £47m to fund a formal bid for the Colombian.
