GK - Sergio Rico (Sevilla) 21 years old

There's not a huge choice of young goalkeepers in La Liga but Sergio Rico has made a few league appearances this season and has also featured in the Europa League. He has two clean sheets in his five appearances in all competitions and although Beto is still relatively young for a goalkeeper at thirty-two Rico has shown he can cover if required.

CB - Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao) 20 years old

Laporte is a fantastic prospect and has been a first team regular for Bilbao for two years now. He has over sixty league appearances and will surely be a target for Europe's elite. Laporte is very good in one on one situations and is only the second Frenchman to play for Bixente Lizarazu.

CB - Emiliano Velazquez (Getafe) 20 years old

There were quite a few candidates for this position with Raphael Varane of Real Madrid, Gimenez of Atletico and Eric Bailly of Espanyol all looking impressive but none could be considered regular first teamers so Velazquez gets the nod. He is on loan from Atletico after completing a move from Danubio in his native Uruguay in the summer and being loaned out straight away. He has shown great potential so far and even popped up with the equaliser in Getafe's draw with Granada just before Christmas.

RM - Fede Cartabia (Cordoba) 21 years old

Another Malaga player who has impressed this season. He broke into the team last season and has made himself a regular alongside Ignacio Camacho in centre midfield. Darder has been capped by Spain U21's and has two league goals to his name this season as he continues to impress.

Vietto has made a big impact since arriving in Spain from his native Argentina in the summer. He has seven goals and two assists in his fifteen games for Villarreal. He has also made his mark in the Europa League with a further three goals and two assists and looks like he will be worth every penny Villarreal paid to Racing Club for his services.
