Real Madrid look to have beaten sides such as Bayern Munich to the signature of Norwegian hot prospect Martin Odegaard.

Reports suggest that Odegaard has flown with his farther and agent to Spain for talks with the European champions for a move from Stromsgodslet and is expected to become the first Norwegian to play for Real. The 16-year-old is touted as one of the brightest prospects in the game at the moment and a number of the top sides in Europe have been chasing him, including Ajax, Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich - just to name a few.

Odegaard made history becoming the youngest ever player to represent a nation when he came on in a European Champonship qualifier against Bulgaria in Ocotober 2014 at the tender age of 15 years and 300 days.

Fellow Norwegian John Arne Risse believes that there is too much weight on his conpratriot's shoulders.

He told Dagbladet: "I feel a bit sorry for the boy, with anticipation the pressure rises. There is talk of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal. It makes people expect a lot.

'But he does seem to have his feet firmly on the ground and it seems like he has a great family around him. Even so, it will be tough for him now. People are wary of him and people will look out for him.'
