Levante and Deportivo La Coruna meet at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia on Friday evening with both sides just outside the relegation zone.

Levante sit seventeenth, just a point ahead of the drop zone. and they will be desperate to end the terrible run that has brought them here. They have failed to win any of their last eight games in all competitions - five in La Liga - and their last win was in the derby against Valencia in November. Only Granada have scored less and Elche have conceded more than Lucas Alvarez's team.

Levante will welcome back David Navarro from suspension but they look to be without Victor Camarasa (fever) and Pape Diop (international duty). Much of their hopes will be on the shoulders of Casadesus who is their top scorer with four league goals.

Deportivo come to Valencia one point ahead of Levante and two clear of relegation in sixteenth place in La Liga.

There have been signs of improvement recently with two wins in their last three games after going six without a win. However, those wins were both at home and their only win away from home this season came in September against Eibar

Victor Fernandez will be confident that his Deportivo side can get that away win against Levante as Les Granotes have been in bad form. Three points for Deportivo would be a big boost to a team that will be hoping their recent good form is a turning point in their season although they will have to do it without the injured Luis Farina.

Either way the loser of this game will have to look over their shoulder as the relegation zone is right behind them - but both sides will remain hopeful of extending their La Liga stay beyond this season.
