Athletic Club will want to continue to climb the La Liga table when they host bottom of the table Elche on Sunday.

Bilbao have had a poor season so far currently sitting 12th in La Liga, they had somewhat of a short-lived revival towards the end of 2014 but have lost three and drew one of their last four games. Things perked up midweek with a 4-2 victory over Celta Vigo in the Copa Del Rey which will give them confidence going into this game.

Elche have fared much worse sitting rock bottom of the table with just eleven points, their statistics don’t prove much better as they’ve took two points from last 18 available, they have failed to win the last seven league matches and have failed to score in the last three away matches. They suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to Barcelona in midweek in the Copa Del Rey which won’t help their confidence heading to the San Mames.

Marcelo Bielsa will have two of his best players in; Aritz Aduriz and Iker Munian available to him once again after they missed out on 1-0 defeat to Deportivo through suspension, it is unlikely Andoni Iraola will play after he appeared in midweek for the full 90 minutes. Ager Aketxe and Gullimero are also a doubt for the Sunday fixture.

Edu Albacar is available after suspension while Enzo Roco and Sergio Pelegrin have recovered from injuries. However Jose Angel and Gaby Mudingayi are a doubt for Elche.
