Cordoba and Eibar start the weekend's La Liga fixtures on Friday evening and both sides are coming into this game having won their last two games.

Cordoba are now up to fifteenth, one point above the relegation zone, after back to back wins over Granada and Rayo Vallecano. It took Cordoba until December to get their first league win but they have three wins, two draws and a defeat in their last six and the team have improved under Miroslav Dukic.

Los Blanquiverdes will be without Inigo Lopez and Nabil Ghilas for the visit of Eibar and Dukic has also suggested Fede Cartabia might miss out. Ghilas (5) and Cartabia (3) are the only Cordoba players to have scored more than one goal this season and their absence would be a huge blow to the home side.

Eibar have been enjoying an amazing season and currently sit eighth in La Liga, five points ahead of ninth placed Celta Vigo. Many thought their good run was coming to an end when they failed to win in their last three games of 2014 but they have started 2015 with wins over Espanyol and Getafe, much to the delight of their manager, Gaizka Garitano.

Eibar will be without the suspended Ander Capa and the club have now officially lost their star defender, Raul Albentosa who has joined Derby County. Eibar have been in good form away from home though winning four and drawing two of their nine away games so they will not fear taking on Cordoba.

With both sides in good form they will believe they can extend that good run. Last year this was a Segunda match with Eibar winning home and away. On paper Eibar will be favourites to win again but Cordoba will be hopeful of picking up the points that can move them further away from the relegation zone.
