Elche picked up a vital three points by beating Eibar 1-0 on Monday and Albacar was on top form with an assist, four tackles, two interceptions and three clearances.

CB: Alvaro Gonzalez (Espanyol) 25 years old

Another of Espanyol's stars from the win over Malaga. Alvaro Gonzalez was in excellent form with a tackle, three interceptions, 16 clearances, two blocked shots and a crucial goal.

CB: Diego Mainz (Granada) 32 years old

Granada drew 0-0 with Athletic Bilbao and Mainz played a big part in keeping a clean sheet with a tackle, two interceptions, 15 clearances and two blocked shots.

CM: Esteban Granero (Real Sociedad) 27 years old

Esteban Granero has done well for La Real this season and played his part in their 2-2 draw away to Almeria on Friday. He completed 47 of 50 passes including an assist as well as making three tackles and an interception.

CM: Vicente Iborra (Sevilla) 27 years old

Sevilla beat Cordoba 3-0 on Saturday afternoon and Iborra got a goal, a tackle and two interceptions as well as completing 62 of his 68 attempted passes.

RW: Fabian Orellana (Celta Vigo) 29 years old

Celta were excellent as they beat Atlético Madrid on Sunday evening and Orellana made a big impact with a goal as well as three tackles and an interception.

AM: Isco (Real Madrid) 22 years old

Isco scored an excellent opening goal in Real's 2-0 win over Deportivo and also added two tackles, two interceptions and completed 53 passes.

LW: Gael Kakuta (Rayo Vallecano) 23 years old

Kakuta was a constant threat in Rayo's 2-0 win over Villarreal and put the icing on the win with the all important second goal.

CF: Lionel Messi (Barcelona) 27 years old

Messi continued his outstanding form in 2015 with a hat-trick and an assist in Barca's 5-0 win over Levante.
