Real Madrid head to the Martinez Valero tomorrow in hopes of making four wins out of four against Valencian side Elche.  The hosts will be looking for a much better showing against Los Blancos after getting drubbed by them 5-1 at the Bernabeu.  Although Elche was hammered 5-1, they actually led 16 minutes in thanks to an Albacar penalty.  Right winger Gareth Bale went on to equalize, and then starman Cristiano Ronaldo took charge from there.  Two goals in five minutes gave Madrid a comfortable 3-1 lead going into the break.  Two more goals in the 81st and 90th minute made it four on the scoresheet for Ronaldo in what was a dominant performace for the Ballon d'Or winner.

Real Madrid, managed by Carlo Ancelotti, are the current league leaders in La Liga.  With 23 games played, they are on 57 points and lead Barcelona by a single point but look to extend it to a four point lead with a win.  This opportunity came at a perfect time for Los Blancos as Cristiano Ronaldo is back in form after scoring and assisting in their 2-0 win over Schalke midweek.  In their last five league games, they have picked up twelve out of a possible fifteen points, but in most of their wins, they have looked unconvincing.  Their lone loss in this spell was a 4-0 beatdown from city rivals Atletico which meant a historic double for them.  Albeit it hasn't been the best of times lately for Real, they have begun to pick it up once again, and it's showing in their play.  Top scorer and assister of the side goes to the man in the picture above, Cristiano Ronaldo.  His insane goalscoring record from the start of the season has tailed off since, but the winger has 28 goals and 10 assists to his name this season.  The Italian manager looks to keep his side nearly the same from their Champions League match midweek as Coentrao, Khedira, Ramos, James, and Modric are all sidelined still with injuries.

Little Elche have spent most of their time toiling at the bottom three just escaping out of that position just a couple of weeks ago but are not too far from it in seventeenth place.  The side managed by Fran Escriba has had a phenomenal run of form to help them escape the relegation zone.  Three wins in their last five, including back-to-back wins have propelled them to 23 points giving them a little wiggle room away from the relegation zone.  Similarly like Real, Elche's top goalscorer and assister is one player.  Jonathas has nine goals and five assists to his name this season, which equates to being a part of two-thirds of the teams goals this season.  Only one significant injury is on the cards for Elche as David Lomban is doubtful, but if he is declared fit, he is likely to get a start again.  The added motivation of Barcelona dropping points plus the firepower of Madrid should overwhelm Elche, but the Valencian will give its best go from the first whistle.
