Valencia will want to continue their ascent up the La Liga when they host Real Sociedad in the early kick-off on Sunday.

Valenica have had an excellent campaign so far and currently sit comfortably in fourth in the table just three points behind champions Atletico Madrid. Their recent form has also been excellent win three consecutive league games with their latest victory coming last weekend with a 2-1 victory away to Cordoba.Aswell as that they have an excellent home record having won 11 of their last 13 at the Mestalla.

Their opponents have also found form recently with David Moyes’ side just losing the one match in the last five league matches, they have remained undefeated in their last three games with their latest being a narrow 4-3 victory against a high-flying Sevilla. However their away form has let them down massively this campaign as they are yet to win away from the Anoeta Stadium this season which has seen them dwindle in mid-table in 11th position. Despite that record away from home Moyes can be confident if the head-to-head statistics are anything to go by as they are undefeated in the last seven meetings against their opponents with six of those being victories, thier last meeting ended honours even with a 1-1 draw back in September.

Enzo Perez and Antonio Barragan return for Valencia after their suspension which is likely means that Joao Cancelo will drop out of the starting XI with Andre Gomes and Dani Parejo possibly preferred to the returning Argentine midfielder. Alvaro Negredo will likely start upfront as Paco Alcacer is still out with injury.

David Moyes has some injury issues with; Carlos Martinez, Carlos Vela, Mikel Gonzalez, David Zurutuza and Gorka Elustondo all on the side-lines. Yuri should slot straight back into left-back position after his suspension while Markel Bergara is once again fit for selection.
