Deportivo La Coruna lost a narrow match at the Estadio Raizor as Sevilla came away with the 3-4 victory in an offensive show.

The visitors looked dangerous early and in just the fourth minute, Carlos Bacca hit his shot too high from close range. Lucas Perez was great early on as he had two decent chances, but both just missed the target. Deportivo’s breakthrough came in the 28th minute through Oriol Riera. Ivan Cavaliero found Riera inside the box and his right footed effort flew into the bottom right hand corner.

It would not take Sevilla very long at all to find the back of the net to level the match. Vitolo found Bacca inside of the eighteen yard box and the Colombian striker played the ball quickly back to his teammate and he slid it across the white line.

Sevilla would go up by one just seven minutes after the restart through Vitolo once more. Alexi Vidal whipped in a low cross from the right towards the top of the box and the 25-year-old was able to beat Fabricio well. Lucas Perez had another go in the 58th minute as his shot was saved well by Sergio Rico.

Kevin Gameiro would convert a spot kick effort five minutes after the hour after Vitolo was taken down inside the area by Pablo Insua. With 18 minutes left to go in the match, the hosts would pull one back to make it 2-3. Luisinho got near the byline and sent his ball towards the top of the six yard box and it was Riera who just beat Rico to the ball.

There would two more goals left in this match, but both of them would come through Deportivo. After Sevilla worked the ball into the box the visitors tried to find an open man inside the eighteen, but it deflected off of Sidnei and into the back of his own net. Nico Pareja brought down Helder Costa and Lucas Perez scored the spot kick deep into stoppage time.
