Almeria host Villarreal on Sunday morning at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos as they look to move out of the relegation zone.

Almeria are currently eighteenth in La Liga, one point from safety. They have struggled at home with just one win in their twelve home league games and sixteen of their twenty-four points have come on their travels. Recently their home form has improved with one win and two draws in their last three games and it is something they will need to improve to maintain their top flight status.

Juan Ignacio Martínez's side will welcome Thievy, Michel Macedo and Wellington back after missing out last week but Almeria will be without Ximo Navarro and Ruben as well as on loan Villarreal star, Javier Espinosa who is ineligible to play against his parent club.

Villarreal are currently sixth in La Liga and will be aiming to get the three points that will take them to within five points of Atletico Madrid in the fourth and final Champions League spot. Marcelino's side have been prioritising the Europa League in  recent weeks but their 3-1 defeat at home to Sevilla on Thursday has them on the brink of elimination and their hopes of European football next year will most likely depend on where they finish in La Liga.

It is difficult to second guess which line up Marcelino will go with at the moment but with their Europa League chances looking slim he may now put his best side out in La Liga to put pressure on the teams ahead of Villarreal.

Bruno and Adrian Marin will miss the trip to Almeria and Victor Ruiz, Mateo Musacchio and Giovani dos Santos could also be unavailable. Marcelino has been happy to rotate his squad in recent weeks and he will be confident that whatever team he selects can take the points.

Villarreal will come into this game as favourites but with Almeria desperate for points they will not be able to underestimate the hosts and it promises to be an interesting morning on Spain's south coast.
