Messi and Neymar gave Barcelona a 2-0 lead in the first half, but Sevilla continued to fight and in the end, were awarded for their efforts as French striker, Kevin Gamiero leveled the match late on as it finished 2-2 extending the hosts home unbeaten run.

In just the third minute of the match, Claudio Bravo had to come off his line quick to smother a ball from Aleix Vidal that Bacca couldn't quite get on the end of the pass. Barcelona found the breakthrough in the 15th minute of the match behind Lionel Messi after Neymar found him with a wonderful square ball. The Argentine superstar used the defense to shield Sergio Rico and proceeded to curl the ball into the far corner of the net.

Suarez flew down the down the pitch and tried a wonderful pass to Neymar, but it was Grzegorz Kyrchowiak with a fantastic interception to break up a potential goal three minutes before the half an hour mark. In the 31st minute of the match, Barcelona would double their lead through a sensational free kick from Neymar. He took the free kick from just outside the eighteen yard box, his shot went above the jumping wall and soared into the top left corner just bouncing off the underside of the bar, rooting the Sevilla shot stopper to the ground. Sevilla got their best chance of the half in the 34th minute after Banega played an excellent ball towards Iborra, but the 27-year-old's shot, however, curled away from the far post. 

Sevilla managed to pull one back before halftime and it was game on from there. Ever Banega unleashed a bomb from outside of the box and Claudio Bravo dove to his right, got his hands to it, but still found the back of the net eight minutes before the interval. Shortly after their first goal, Sevilla nearly had a second off of a free kick. Kyrchowiak headed the ball in a bit of space that looked destined for the bottom right corner, but Pique was there at the post and cleared the ball from danger.

Five minutes after the interval, niesta played a one-two with Suarez and uses the space he created to get a shot away, but Rico made himself big and cut down any possible angle. Suarez had the rebound, but he skied his effort. The hosts were starting to gather confidence as the match went on, going forward whenever possible, unafraid of their visitors. In the 69th minute of the match, Luis Suarez shot the ball before the it hit the ground off of a high deflection, howerver, he did not get the right technique and the ball hit the side netting.

With six minutes left to go in the match, Pique gave the ball away after he tried to play a cute pass. Reyes startes the break away, found Vidal and squared it towards Kevin Gameiro. The substitute striker made no mistake with the pass and placed it perfectly behind Bravo to level the match.
