Spanish giants Valencia have reportedly shown an interest in bringing Benfica duo Nicolas Gaitán and Eduardo Salvio to the Mestalla in the summer, according to Portuguese paper O Jogo.

Valencia brought Enzo Perez, Andre Gomes and Rodrigo to the Mestalla last summer and O Jogo reports that they've been that impressed that they're going back to take more Benfica players.

Salvio is no stranger to Spanish football having played for Atletico Madrid 44 times in a two year spell between 2010-2012. The 24-year old has been an ever present feature in the Benfica side playing near a century of games over the four years he's been there - including games played while on loan to in 2010-11.

Twenty-seven year old Gaitán has been heavily linked to Los Che for much of the season. The Boca Juniors academy graduate joined The Eagles in 2010 and has made well over 100 appearances in the red of Benfica.

Both players have been capped internationally by Argentina with Gaitán leading the way with nine appearances compared to Salvio's five.

Valencia currently occupy fourth spot in Liga BBVA and trail third placed reigning champions Atletico Madrid by a point while they have a three point gap over fifth placed Sevilla.
